What do I need to provide to obtain a certificate of compliance?

You will need copies, scanned copies, less often originals or certified copies:

  • An application indicating the name, scope, HS code of the product, as well as the name, address of the applicant, manufacturer, importer.
  • INN, OGRN, extract of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities confirming the applicant’s registration. For an individual entrepreneur — a copy of the passport.
  • Product passport, brochure, safety data sheet, specifications, instructions or other technical description of the product.
  • The label or its layout, a high-quality photo of the products.
  • The contract of delivery or authority.
  • Foreign certificates, including for raw materials, which are available.

Additional materials may be required upon request.

How long does the certification of goods take?

This process usually takes about a month. The term depends on the complexity of the product category, quantity, as well as the features of laboratory tests.

What do I need to provide for the declaration of conformity?
  • Application and details of the applicant.
  • Technical description, product passport, brochure, safety data sheet, specifications, instructions, etc.
  • Protocols on the results of testing of goods in the testing laboratory.
  • Certificate of quality management.
  • Additional materials may be required upon request.
  • If the importer is engaged in the registration of the quality declaration, then a supply contract with the manufacturer is needed.

What is the difference between a certificate and a declaration of conformity?

When declaring, the responsibility for confirming the conformity of products lies with the applicant. He independently uploads the collected documents to the electronic register, signs the EDS declaration.

When certifying goods, the responsibility is shared with the applicant by the certification center, which evaluates the submitted documents and sample. At the end of the research, the specialists transfer all the materials to the archive and register the certificate.
